When you need this form

Site-level inspections catch the things that change week to week: blocked exits, damaged leads, missing signage, poor housekeeping, unsecured plant. Run them on the routine cycle a client contract sets, before a scheduled audit, or when a new work area comes online. Consistent inspection records are the evidence base an auditor samples when testing whether the system runs in practice.

Ticked paper checklists all look the same after the fact. A filled inspection carries the photo of the defect, the risk rating, the person assigned to fix it and the date it was closed, stamped with time and location. When a client questions whether the round happened, that record answers instantly and the defect trail proves it.

What good looks like

• Areas covered listed by name, with inspector and inspection time recorded.
• Checklist items answered individually, with a comment on every failed item.
• Defects photographed at the point they were found, not later.
• Corrective actions raised with an owner, priority and due date.
• Compliance status summarised, then authorised sign-off applied to close.
